Not all parts can make the final cut for Goodwood shutters. All our parts are inspected before they reach the production line and defective parts are marked as unsuitable for goodwood shutters.

Even the best quality wood has some drawbacks. In order to get a smooth completion, you need to pay great attention to details in preparation. Defects were repaired in two different manufacturing stages.
This production line filler is suitable for any obvious defects, smooth in wood and sanding.
Brown and sandy shutters enter this area when completed, before they enter the decoration room. A high-intensity spotlight shines on the blinds, highlighting any minor defects that may appear in the final product. These small blemishes are repaired with putty and sanding, and then begin to sand.
Sanded by hand with very fine sandpaper. Every inch of goodwood shutters are fine-grained, including the top of the slanted bar, and few manufacturers spend time solving this problem. After the final check, they are done.
During completion, Goodwood Plantation shutters were suspended from the vehicle's track system, allowing the shutters to fully rotate. This ensures that, whether painted or stained, all parts of each shutter are painted / stained equally, resulting in a smooth, uniform finish from any angle.
The painted blinds are topped with two coats of paint. Between the coatings, the blinds are quality checked. All of our paints contain UV inhibitors to help you maintain the beauty of custom shutters, even in the strongest sunlight.
Color blinds are sprayed with your dyed color, usually a custom blended color for you. Each shutter has two layers of stains. Between the coatings, the blinds are removed from the track, wiped by hand and lightly sanded. This step is the difference between a standard finish and a true furniture quality finish. Without it, the color of the shutter would look a little opaque, some people call it "cloudy." Finally, we applied two transparent lacquers to the blinds to protect the wood and make the texture more beautiful. We use 20 gloss, which gives the wood a good gloss and provides a deep finish.
After the completion, Goodwood blinds sat overnight, allowing the completion time to heal. Depending on the time of year, paint finishes have additional curing time in cool rooms.
Although every area of ​​our factory plays a key role in making Goodwood shutters a high-quality bench product, the finishing department plays a key role in making all other departments' work truly glowing.

The assembly department is responsible for converting the length of the parts into artificial blinds.
First, cut all parts to a certain length to meet the exact specifications of the custom shutter. After cutting the parts, place them on a shopping cart with a work order detailing each opening in the order.
At Goodwood, before panel assembly, we take a few extra steps during the assembly process to ensure that your shutters are manufactured to the highest quality standards.
Each tilt lever draws personal attention. We designed the top shape of the slanted bar on the machine, which is a round top unique to Goodwood shutters. Then sand the top of each rod with sandpaper to make it look the same quality as the rest of the blinds.
Before assembling the shutters, sand the end of each shutter. Again, this extra step allows the ends of the blinds to better accept the paint effect and eliminates the blind holes normally found, but not the sandy rough ends.
Next, the shutters and the tilt bar are fed in by a machine that connects the shutters and staples, a pin is placed at the end of each shutter, and then the shutter panels are assembled.
At Goodwood, we use pins to connect the doors and railings of each shutter. Pour wood glue into each hole that will hold the concealed pin. We then use a positioning pin that is slightly larger than the insertion hole. This requires the use of hydraulic clamps to hold the struts and tracks together. After fixing the blinds together, nail small nails on the back of the blinds to make the blinds stronger.
Goodwood has used this method for many years, and we have firmly stood behind the joinery techniques of Goodwood shutters throughout our lives.
Just as the door is hung on the door frame, the hardwood shutters are hung on the door frame multiple times. We have several frame options in Goodwood to accommodate a variety of trims and window types. Once the blinds are assembled, the surrounding window frames are constructed.
At Goodwood, we have customized many frames so that they can be installed around window cranks and lever locks. If possible, these cuts are made at the factory and these cuts will get a coat of paint instead of being repainted on site.
